About Poha mixture recipe – Poha is flattened rice which are light, dry flakes. We can use it with very little or no cooking. Poha is called as atukulu in telugu and poha mixture is atukula mixture.

There are numerous dishes we can make using poha or atukulu. Atukula mixture is combination of atukulu and dry nuts. Since we are using nuts this snack is very healthy and nutritious. Poha is easily digestible, rich in iron and low in calories. I am using nuts like cashews, almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds and raisins which are rich in vitamins and minerals. This snack is very simple, if you have all the ingredients ready it just takes few minutes to prepare. Do try this healthy snack and i am sure you will like it.

Poha mixture recipe – Process

1. Firstly, we have to dry roast the poha. In a pan add poha and dry roast it until it becomes crispy. It takes 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer roasted poha into a bowl.

2. In the same pan add oil add few peanuts and roast them. Add 4 to 5 pods of garlic and roast.

3. Add roasted chana dal and fry it for a minute. Add cashews and almonds and roast them.

4. Once almonds are roasted, add dry coconut pieces and roast them. Add raisins and pumpkin seeds and roast them.

5. At last add few curry leaves and fry them well.

6. Now add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix it well.

7.Add the dry roasted poha into this and mix it well.

8. Poha mixture is ready.

  • 300 grams Poha or atukulu
  • 50 grams Peanuts
  • 50 grams roasted chana dal
  • 50 grams cashew nuts
  • 50 grams almonds
  • 50 grams dry coconut pieces
  • 2 tsp raisins
  • 2 tsp pumpkin seeds
  • 4 to 5 pods garlic
  • few curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp ground nut oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
