About Millet upma recipe – Millet upma is similar to the regular upma but we use millets instead of rava to make this dish. Millet upma is made with millets and vegetables. You can use any millet to make this recipe. I am using little millet to make this recipe. Little millet is also called as samalu in telugu, samai in tamil, saame in kannada. It has different names in hindi like maraiyo, kutki, sama and shavan.
Compared to white rice or wheat, millets are high on fiber and and control blood sugar and cholesterol levels. To reduce carbs, replenish your diet with millets, and reject high calorie food. Millets can be made into MILLET PULAO , idly, dosa, LADDO etc.
